A couples of examples of the work that can be carried out are;
Paintwork de-contamination - This is where the clay bar treatment is used to remove bonded contaminants that have been embedded into the paintwork. These can be industrial fall out, tree sap and tar deposits. Most cars have this problem unless otherwise treated. Ideally the texture of the paintwork should be smooth and silky to the touch. Once de-contaminated, the true colour of the paintwork can be enjoyed.
Swirl marks, holograms and scratch removal - Swirl marks appear in circular patterns which are usually caused by automated car washes or poor wash techniques, ie: Yellow sponge. Holograms appear due to incorrect use of a machine polisher and some common polishes. These, aswell as swirl marks, can be easily seen in sunlight and greatly reduces the aesthetics of the vehicle. This is rectified by using specific polishes with a rotary machine to restore the clarity of the paintwork and leaves a high gloss finish. Our policy is to use only the finest products which have been carefully selected through extensive testing on personal vehicles. These products can include well known brands such as Dodo Juice, Swisswax and Zaino.

Whilst JPD specialises in detailing, we also offer a valeting service. Valeting typically consists of a deep cleansing wash, hand polish and interior clean, whilst still using the best non-silicone products for the job. If you choose a stage two valet, this will involve a specific wax, hand picked for your vehicle being applied.

Detailing takes it one step further and provides full paint de-contamination, leather care and treatment, swirl and scratch removal and a paint sealant/double layer of carnuba wax applied to the body and wheels of the vehicle. This can also include engine bay cleaning to make it shine on the inside too.
